The food deserves a mention: the dishes looked beautiful and tasted amazing. Everywhere was spotless, and the decor and atmosphere made it feel like a proper relaxing holiday. From our first day at La Confianza Hotel, the staff welcomed us warmly. They were friendly, attentive, and informative throughout our stay. Micha, the dog, was a wonderful hostess, and the human team went beyond what we expected. Lucero and Esteban were especially outstanding, helpful, flexible, and very knowledgeable. Esteban impressed us with the wine selection and dinner service, while Lucero was there whenever we needed anything. The rest of the team were just as caring and attentive. I’d recommend this place without hesitation.

Getting there takes a little figuring out. There are signs along the way, but the last stretch of road to the hotel is unpaved. Once there, the service is excellent and the rooms are comfortable. There’s hot water, though it can run out quickly.

A very nice hotel with a great team. The service is very, very good, and they’re happy to help with any questions or needs. I just wish there were a river view.

The staff were kind and helpful, and even their dog, Misha, was friendly with us. You’ll want your own car since the location isn’t walkable. We went to Lunahuana in May and ran into lots of insects, so bring repellent.

If you’re looking for a remote, quaint place with a hippie feel, this is a great stay in Lunahuana. You can have a little cabin to yourself. They’re rustic, with electricity and a bathroom with a shower, but no AC or TV, so go in knowing what to expect. It’s a nice way to tune out. The restaurant is pretty good too, and the chilcanos are amazing.
