It was okay.

I left early because the weather and the lack of help or guidance for getting out safely made me uneasy. During a rainstorm, water collected around the bungalow and the roof leaked, with drips reaching the sleeping area. The staff also provided no apparent technical help after I reported a deteriorated gas hose in the kitchen. When I used the stove, gas smell built up in the room, which felt like a safety risk. The bungalow was short on basics. At check-in there were no towels or toiletries, and I had to ask for them. In summer, they provide just one fan for a two-level bungalow with several beds, which wasn't enough, and my request for another was ignored. Cleanliness was poor too: dead insects on the walls, hair on the floor, and bedding that didn't seem hygienic. The pool wasn't in good condition during my stay. The staff felt distant and unprofessional, and at one point made a dismissive gesture toward me. I'm still waiting for the electronic receipt for my stay. I've also seen management reply to other public comments by disclaiming responsibility. I think accepting responsibility is a basic part of running a hotel.

It's a shame, because being right on the beach gives the place a lot of potential, but it feels neglected and the owner doesn't seem interested in maintaining it. The receptionist's service was terrible, and the room was filthy, especially the bathroom. The bath and shower water is saltwater, so using it much isn't advisable. I've never stayed at a hotel that didn't even provide soap, and when I asked, I was told it wasn't included.

We had to leave by way of the beach because the roads outside were muddy and flooded, and our vehicle couldn't get through. When we asked the hotel to help us get out, they said it wasn't their problem. Other hotels had pumps and drainage systems for guests. Rain in Máncora is nothing new, and hotels should prepare so guests, especially families with children and older adults, aren't put at risk. The hotel didn't offer the facilities needed for a safe departure, and never suggested we cancel. They actually encouraged us to stay, then came by insisting on collecting payment when they knew we couldn't stay any longer that day. That felt exploitative and opportunistic. The family bungalows were dirty and full of insects. The bathrooms had limescale, the walls were marked with mosquito blood, and although they advertise furnished cabins, we were asked to bring our own things. They provide one fan for several rooms and don't have the equipment needed to use it. We weren't asking for one fan per person. With temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit), people sleeping upstairs had no air conditioning. Don't lie about that. We are still waiting for our receipts, and they never answer phone calls. The staff were extremely rude and unfriendly. In response to your comment: don't blame God. It has ALWAYS rained heavily in Mancora, and this wasn't the first time water had pooled. You know that. I hope God gives you some judgment and common sense. What happens outside your hotel affects your guests, so what does the municipality have to do with it? Other hotels had equipment to help guests leave. We had to get out through the beach. Why would you put people in that situation? From your replies, you always seem to think you're right when people leave negative comments. The plain truth is that she's rude and dirty.
