Casa Naranja Mancora

I'm so glad I found this place. It's colorful, cute, and clean, and the community is great, mostly creators and nomads. It's quiet and surrounded by nature, and worked wonderfully for me traveling solo. I'd be happy to come with friends too. Eduardo and Jessica have made something special here. Gabby, who's around daily, is very kind. All the rooms are clean, and some have desks. I booked one week at first to see how it was, though before arriving I was already considering a month or more. I've extended my stay to a month, maybe longer. Eduardo is kind and goes out of his way to help guests with comfort, challenges, or whatever circumstances come up. He's calm and good at communicating, something the world 🌎 could use more of. The Wi-Fi is great, with several places to work upstairs and downstairs. It's easy to get around on foot and feels safe, about 5-10 minutes' walk to both the beach and town. Definitely visit Green Eggs & Ham, Beach, Las Positas, Organos, Vichayito,🐢, 🏄‍♀️. Highly recommend.

Jessica and Edu will welcome you and look after you. It's a lovely, quiet spot away from the noise in town, while still only about five minutes from the beach ☺️

We were a backpacker couple who booked a room through booking.com several days ahead. After a long bus ride, we arrived late hoping to rest, but nobody was at reception. We asked a man working on a room for help; he called a woman who shouted questions about our name and room without ever showing her face. Not long after, “Jessica” messaged us on WhatsApp from Lima to say our room wasn't available because the shower had a water leak that hadn't been fixed. They couldn't give us another room, only a much more expensive suite that we didn't want. They'd known about the problem for days and hadn't told us, so we had no time to find another option. They suggested trying the hostel next door, “Casa Máncora,” where we could negotiate with its owner, Luis. The customer service from “Casa Naranja” was very poor. Luckily, Luis was very kind and understanding, and let us stay at the price we'd booked at “Casa Naranja” through booking.com. The rooms there were cozy and very nice, with private bathrooms, a kitchen to use, and drinking water. The owner's treatment was exceptional, much better than at “Casa Naranja.” On our last day I returned to relax in the larger common area, but this time there was a woman physically working there. I explained what had happened and asked if I could sit there for a while. She said NO, she had to ask the owner first. I left. I'd never recommend this place after such bad treatment of guests. Go to “Casa Máncora,” it's much better.

The rooms have everything needed, and the bed is comfortable. The whole resort is clean and well maintained. There's also a kitchen and a pleasant rooftop terrace for relaxing. The beach is nearby and good for surfing. Beautiful place, 100% recommend.
