Hotel Mama Sirena

After being let down by a place we’d seen online, we spent an hour looking around Máncora before finding this decent hotel. We got a room for five at a reasonable $80 per night, although we only needed one for three, and stayed for three nights. The room was very clean, and each room has a fan. There were a few mosquitoes because there’s no air conditioning, but the staff kindly gave us repellent and the bugs weren’t a problem. The shower was cold on two nights. We told the staff, who did their best to help, and got lukewarm water instead. The pool was good, the atmosphere was very nice, and breakfast was decent: bread with different toppings each day, such as olives, tomatoes, ham, cheese, or jam, plus cold juice, coffee, water, and scrambled eggs. The staff were friendly and very helpful. There’s a trampoline for kids aged 2-6 and two hammocks for everyone. They also have a hotel cat called Chico 🐱. I’d recommend Mama Sirena for a decent stay at a reasonable price! 😁

A clean, very good hotel with all the services you need. The staff are really attentive to guests, and the price is fair. Definitely recommend it.

The rooms are lovely, and the hotel is under 40 meters from the beach. The gentleman who helped us was incredibly kind and understanding. I’d definitely come back, it was wonderful.

This was a bad stay. They advertise TV, internet, and hot water, but none of them really worked. There was no TV signal, the internet was weak, and the water ran out. The fans they gave us weren’t enough, so we had to fix one ourselves just to sleep. Our room lock was useless too, it opened without a key.
