The hotel sits on a peaceful street among mountains and flowers, about halfway between the train station and the town center, so both are within walking distance. From the rear building’s third floor, you can even spot the glacier. The building feels brand new, with lovely decor, plenty of space, and a nice shower. For the price, it was a beautiful place to stay, and the staff were kind and accommodating.

For the money, this simple two-star place is very good value. It’s close to Ollantaytambo’s train station, and the rooms with private bathrooms were clean and perfectly adequate. Breakfast was good too. There’s also a small garden with lovely greenery.

We booked Hotel Munay Tika through our tour agency while traveling around Peru with friends, for a late one-night stop in Ollantaytambo. The room had a small issue, but the friendly staff quickly moved my spouse and me, and we’re very happy with the new room. It was clean, the shower was hot, and the Wifi worked fantastically. A welcoming, affordable little find in town that I’d recommend.

The only real plus was being near the railway station. The bathrooms and bedsheets were dirty and looked used, the shower had no hot water in the morning, and breakfast was very poor.

I was here for just one short night, and it had what I needed: a comfortable bed, friendly staff, and a good location. It was quite a bit cheaper than some of the other places on the same street.
