The restaurant food was decent and portions were good, but it took ages. Breakfast only starts at 7:30, and if you ask for coffee before then, nobody can help because the restaurant doesn’t open until 7. There were pigeons on the roof and mosquitoes in the room, with no fan or AC. Streetlights also made the room very bright at night. Aside from all that, staying there was okay. The place needs maintenance or should lower its prices, otherwise it isn’t worth it.

The staff are nice and helpful, and they keep the place clean, but the facilities are derelict. The run-down rooms are priced extortionately because it’s on the waterfront and Chicama Boutique Hotel is full. I’d avoid it until the promised renovation takes place, maybe in 2027?

The accommodation is okay, but it isn’t the beautiful luxury place shown in the pictures. I expected somewhere nicer. The buildings are dirty, there’s no AC in the rooms, and the bathrooms are very outdated. Overall, the place needs a lot of maintenance, like every single building in Peru.

We were really cold at night, and noisy birds and cockroaches kept tickling our feet. Breakfast was very limited. But the reason I’m writing this is that someone seemed to have used our bread to clean their butt.
