The food was one of the highlights of our trip. Even with our large group and the lodge feeling so remote, the kitchen team managed beautifully, creating a fresh, delicious custom menu for us every day. Antonio, the manager, was incredibly helpful with everything we needed, and his attention to detail and hospitality made the stay unforgettable. The location on the Tambopata river basin and the facilities are incredible, with stunning views. Our spotless rooms gave us a great vantage point to wake up to the Amazon's sights and sounds. We had fun swimming in the river and exploring the jungle nearby, and it was a nice bonus to have an interesting animal shelter just a five-minute walk away. A truly amazing stay, and we'd recommend it to anyone after an authentic, breathtaking jungle adventure.

The rooms and grounds gave us a real jungle feel, and were well protected from insects. Antonio, the host, worked hard to meet everyone's needs, and the staff were great. I especially appreciated Erik, a knowledgeable young guide with a real interest in wildlife and conservation. Ask him anything. If he doesn't know, he'll say so and find out 🤗. There's a bird clay lick on the property too, which is a plus. The location was good, though a road has been built nearby. That's not the lodge's fault, and you're still in the jungle. I'd give five stars, but the food brought it down. I've been to a few ecolodges where meals were a highlight. Here the food wasn't inedible, but it felt like a missed chance to show off local dishes. Portions were skimpy and felt cheap. Most drinks came from packets or cartons instead of using the great local fruit. Bring snacks if you care about food. If you don't, you'll love it! The photo is of one of the better dinners. For reference, the plate is medium sized.

I stopped by a few times for the view and a drink while relaxing with a book. The space is really pretty, and Edward and Angela are very kind. I enjoyed a pisco sour and an aperol spritz there. Definitely worth checking out even if you're not staying overnight.

Our family only got to spend two nights at this beautiful lodge and wished we could've stayed longer. The views of the Tampbota River were amazing, and the staff were unbelievably kind and thoughtful. The chef was wonderful and easily accommodated all of my unusual food allergies. It was far more than we expected.

The lodge is lovely, with an incredible view and wild animals all around, and the rooms are quiet and well furnished. We ate delicious, varied food. The staff were helpful and very friendly, and it was nice to meet Jean Pierre the owner. Ciro is a really nice person too, and we always enjoyed doing activities with him. Thanks again for such a positive experience at Sotupa Eco Lodge 🙏😀.
