Tambopata Hostel

It's a fine bed for one night and close to the main town, with easy access to restaurants. But it was loud the whole time I was there, less than 24 hours. There was music late at night on a MONDAY, pool cleaning early in the morning, and people talking in the common area. Don't expect warm water in the showers either.

There was extremely noisy construction the whole time, and breakfast amounted to bread. Very disappointing, especially since the tour guide had said this was a good place to sleep before the tour and that breakfast was free.

Great value, with comfortable beds, breakfast, and a refreshing pool. Probably the best place to stay in town!

The rooms were basic, nothing special, and the showers were cold, even in the city. The hostel costs more than others nearby, and a club close by blasts music until 2am. Breakfast was basic too: coffee, fruit, cereal, and bread. The laundry was the worst part. They charged 8 soles per kg, which is overpriced when there's a place down the street for 5 soles/kg. They promised both our loads for the next day by 9am, but neither was there. Then they said noon. We checked again at 2pm after lunch, and only my friend's laundry had arrived. We needed to be at the airport by 3pm. Their contact said they'd arrive by 2.30pm, but didn't show up then, only at 2.45pm. I had to rush to pack, and even after we explicitly said we had to be at the airport by 3pm, they didn't offer to take us. Suddenly the staff couldn't speak English, and when we left, the front counter was mysteriously unattended. Unacceptable customer service. I will NOT recommend it. Come to PM to book your hostel, you can find places for half the price, starting at 15 Soles/person for a basic room WITH hot water.
