The hotel's location is convenient, only a few blocks from Pino Park. What really sustains its reputation and brand, though, is the welcoming, helpful staff. The room felt oversized, with lots of empty floor space but little room to store clothes. There was no kettle or mini-fridge. The bathroom door couldn't be closed without waking everyone in the middle of the night. The toilet was extremely low, the seat cover sat unevenly, and the bin for toilet paper was tiny for three people. Breakfast was basic. They'd make fried or scrambled eggs if asked, but there was no bacon or other breakfast items. They served local bread but couldn't warm it, and fresh cheese would've been nice. The breakfast area always felt cold, and local TV news played over random music, which was disturbing. I'd call this a solid two-star hotel with room to improve.

On January 21st, I spent one night in Puno, and the experience really moved my group. Shewas had forgotten her birthday, but during breakfast four staff members, Lari, Moises, Jimmy, and Milabros, celebrated with her by giving her the cutest llama doll and a slice of sweet cake. Seeing that made me envious, and I wished I could return for my own birthday. I'm writing because I want to come back and still feel emotional about that day.

This little boutique hotel is conveniently placed near Puno's nightlife and restaurants, but I'd probably rate it only two stars. The rooms have no fridge, air conditioning, or kettle. A room with a window onto the outside lane is okay, but the others are stuffy, windowless rooms inside. The hotel has just one fan, so guests have to compete for it to get some relief. These rooms seem very bad for your health and really ought to be closed. Breakfast is limited, and food runs out fast. After only half an hour, by 6:30am, there was no bread left. The staff just said, "we've run out". Probably best to skip this hotel in Puno.

The rooms are good, with huge beds and good showers, and the WiFi works great. Breakfast is nice, the location is ideal, and the staff are fantastic. My only complaints are that there isn't a kettle in the rooms and there are no lifts.

It was cold in our spacious room on the first floor, and having only one key was a real hassle. If one of us went out while the other showered, they couldn't get back in, and you need the key to turn on the lights. There were extra blankets, which helped. I think the shower is meant to make the room wheelchair accessible, but it could use a proper cleaning. Aside from that, it was nice, and the free breakfast was like a typical hotel breakfast.
