The lake view at GHL Hotel Lago Titicaca is unforgettable, especially waking up to it. The place feels comfortable and cozy, and the staff made us feel at home right from the start. It was clean and peaceful, just right for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. If you’re visiting Puno, I recommend it wholeheartedly. ✨💙

The dated rooms and decor, along with the high price for what you get, made this feel more like a hotel built for tourists and big coach groups. The location is good, especially with a room facing Lake Titicaca rather than Puno. We stopped for just one night while driving between Arequipa and Cusco, and it suited our needs. For a longer stay in Puno, I’d look for better value and somewhere with more local character.

The lake view from the suite we were kindly upgraded to was amazing. The staff were second to none for courtesy and helpfulness. We couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommend it for the views, location, staff, and value.

The room mix-up, two single beds instead of the king I booked, ended up being a small issue compared with the rest. Room service left me with food poisoning, and the potatoes had green sprouts. After we showered, the bathroom started smelling really bad in the morning, possibly from the water or backed-up plumbing. A horrible stay.

The rest of the hotel was great, with good food and staff who worked hard to sort out problems. But our west-facing room on the third floor got very hot in the afternoon, and there was no air conditioning. You also need a staff member to help open the window. There were no bedside sockets or lamps.
