Everything seemed fine at first, with hot water and things in their place. But the young man's service left a lot to be desired. I'm giving this rating because the place's rules were poorly enforced.

By Peruvian standards I'd give it 5 stars, though I can't say the same by foreign standards. It's good and cheap, 80 PEN for a couple plus a child, and they accept cards with a 5% charge. The rooms and bathroom were clean and organized. There's no air-conditioning, but since it's cold, that's fine. The heavy blankets made the night uncomfortable, though, and we didn't sleep well. Watch out for the altitude here. Google's address is wrong 99% of the time and sends you up the hill where there's nothing. Don't go out of the center unless you try to get directions first. We almost booked ahead, but luckily didn't. Everything here is bureaucratic and complicated, and we lost 2 days of the trip. We came by car, which was fantastic and worth it. Right in the heart of Puno, the location is very strategic. The hotel is clean, inexpensive, and nice. There was hot water in both the shower and sink, and the young man who helped me was very friendly. Highly recommended.
