Terra Mistica Ciudad Del Lago Hotel

The rooms were nice, and breakfast was good. They also let us check in early after our sleeper bus, which was great service.

The staff were lovely, but nothing in our room worked, so I wouldn't book this hotel. We paid extra for the spa room, thinking we could use it after a few simple days on the lake, but dirty, cold water came from the taps. The plugs didn't work, and neither did the heater. The staff couldn't resolve any of it and only offered a discount.

The staff were especially thoughtful about breakfast. We're vegan, and although the hotel doesn't usually serve a vegan breakfast, they went out of their way to make us very filling meals. Our room was very spacious, the bathroom was grand, and the wifi worked well. The water wasn't always hot, but we were still able to get a nice hot shower in the morning. It's only a couple of blocks from Plaza de Armas. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and we had a very pleasant stay. We'd stay again if we pass through Puno.

After the cold nights and awful hotels in Chivay and Nazca, this place felt like paradise. It's two streets from the center, with friendly staff ready to help. There was an elevator, fast and stable wifi, and a breakfast buffet with protein. The rooms and beds were clean, the bathroom was good, and there was hot water and toiletries. An okay hotel.
