The owners are very kind, and the covered garage worked well for our motorbikes. The room was clean and nice, with a lake view, though houses partly blocked it. The hotel was empty when we visited in low season, so you could probably negotiate a good rate by showing up. We booked through booking.com and found it expensive by comparison. The hotel is well outside the center, so you need to drive or walk quite a way up and down a hill. The solar panels didn't provide any hot water in our room. I had to use the shared shower, which heated water with electricity.

We ordered breakfast, but they started making it 20 minutes late, even though we'd told them about our trip. We had only eight minutes to eat. It cost 7 soles, not the 4 stated in our booking offer, for a small portion of scrambled eggs, tea, juice, and marmalade. We didn't have time to try the marmalade. Staff didn't speak English at all. The room had a nice view but was cold because of a leaky window, even with the heating on. It wasn't cleaned properly, and the toilet paper wasn't replenished each day, so we had to ask whenever it ran out. For hot water, we had to run cold water for at least ten minutes first. What a waste.

A little far from town, but the lake and surrounding area look great from here.

Neli and her husband were so welcoming and made our stay a really pleasant one.

The view was great and everything was very clean. The location, though, wasn't very good.
