We left and found somewhere else to stay, after being shown a cramped little room on the top floor that looked nothing like the photos of the room we'd prepaid for, the most expensive one. The manager wouldn't refund what we'd paid through Booking.com. It felt like a complete scam. The address wasn't the one listed on Booking.com, and the phone number there was switched off. There was no WhatsApp either. We were already suspicious, so we tracked down another number online and called. Someone answered and agreed to our request for a 5:00 AM check-in. When that morning came, the address was still wrong. We walked around with six suitcases looking for the place, then waited in the rain on the street because nobody was there at the agreed time. We stayed until 6:00 AM, hoping someone from management would show up. Just as we were about to leave, a man came over and said he was the hotel manager. With a lot of frustration, we went upstairs to see the room.

Casa Vidaurre is a rental agency for furnished rooms and apartments. Its office is on the 3rd floor of a 4-story building at Alameda M. Lorenzo Vidaurre 181, Urb. Los Próceres, Surco - Lima.

The cost is low for the quality and location, which made it feel perfect to me. It's close to a shopping mall ( Mal de Sur ), supermarkets, bus routes, and, most importantly, the Metro. The area itself is lovely too, with a street full of pretty houses and gardens.

I've stayed there nine times so far, and I'm coming back this month. The location is fantastic, the place is clean and quiet, and the people are attentive. The street has beautiful houses too, and the Metro is easy to get to.
