Hotel Costa Azul

The location worked well for me, about 10 minutes from downtown Tarapoto, away from the bustle but not too far from it. Tours picked me up right at the hotel every time, with no problems. The place itself is spacious and lovely, with a big dining room. The pool isn't heated, but in that heat it was just right. My room was clean, had air conditioning, and was quiet inside. I enjoyed the food, including lunch and the à la carte choices. Service could be slow while I was there, as there seemed to be only a few staff, maybe because it was the low season in March. Still, they delivered what the advertising promised. The staff were friendly and efficient, and I'd recommend staying here.

The breakfast was good, and the pool is a nice place to unwind. The surroundings were comfortable and clean. Recommended.

The breakfasts were delicious and came on time, and the pool was clean and looked after. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with excellent cleaning. Getting to the main square takes about five minutes by mototaxi. I'd definitely come back.
