I loved the river-facing cabin. The sound of the river was soothing and drowned out any city noise, and the nearby shared kitchen was a nice place to relax and get some work done. The property and rooms were kept very clean. Breakfast varied a little each day, which I appreciated. German, the owner and manager, and the staff gave great service, were responsive, and were always ready to help. I thoroughly enjoyed my four nights at Huingos, a quiet, wonderful place near the edge of Tarapoto. Highly recommended. Thanks to German and Team Huingos for the lovely memories.

The rooms are spacious and clean, and the owner was very helpful. It feels quiet and tucked into the forest, but you can still walk to the city. Amazing place.

German was an amazing host, and this is such a special place. After my dieta, the staff went out of their way to make sure breakfast fit my dietary restrictions and brought it to my door each morning. I loved relaxing in the hammock, visiting the river, and playing with the six cats, Orku, Sacha, Inti, Echo, Pantera Choco Chip, and the dogs. I work online, and having a router right outside my room meant the Wi-Fi worked GREAT! The rooms are simple but spacious, with hot showers. The only issue I had was that the dogs sometimes barked a lot at night. I also went to the sound healing on the weekend and found it incredible.

We spent five days here, and it truly felt like home. The atmosphere was calm and quiet, and the staff went above and beyond to help us when my partner was injured. Such a cosy, peaceful place to spend time.
