The location worked exceptionally well for us, and the staff were great and very helpful. The hotel has enclosed parking, and the main entrance is impressive, though it could use more cleaning. The room seemed updated, but the old carpet had an unpleasant smell, and the shower grout needed cleaning too. For what we paid, it was okay. Still, after three weeks in Peru, this was the worst room we stayed in, despite the excellent ratings from other people.

There’s a lovely little patio with a pool and nice sunset views. The service was top-notch, with very kind, helpful staff. My room had AC, which was a real plus on hot summer days, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly throughout my three-day stay. It’s a few blocks from the plaza, but the walk felt fine and safe. A really good choice if you’re staying in Trujillo.

Hotel Paraiso is in the historic district, an easy, pleasant walk from the central city square, good markets, and restaurants. Noellia at the front desk speaks wonderful English and was a huge help if, like me, your Spanish is limited. Cesar at the bar can make whatever drink you want, with lots of charm and flair. Both are superstars. I highly recommend staying here if you’re planning a visit to Trujillo.

The little pool was great for relaxing, but my room had a strong smell. Breakfast was mostly gone whenever I went down, and nobody spoke English.

The beds were comfortable, and the rooms have HVAC. It was quiet and clean, the Wi-Fi worked remarkably well, and breakfast was included. I’d recommend this hotel.
