Sacred Dreams Lodge

The jacuzzi and sauna were the best part, and we really enjoyed both. The massage was just okay, somewhere between good and bad, and we felt rushed when we arrived. We also weren't given the choice to use the sauna before it. They offered wine or juice, but brought juice without asking what we wanted, then charged extra for wine, which was disappointing. Leaving was uncomfortable too. The woman at checkout was annoyed that we didn't have ID, though nobody had told us to bring it, and she kept arguing while we tried to pay. What was meant to be a relaxing visit ended that way, so we won't be back.

The gardens made our walks around the grounds feel special, with lovely flowers everywhere. The food was tasty, though portions were small. Jose was the first to welcome us and was excellent. The place is tucked away in the mountains of Urubamba, and even the bumpy drive there added to the experience. It went well beyond what we expected. Loved it!

Such a peaceful, beautiful place to unwind surrounded by nature. The staff were lovely and the facilities were great. Thanks for a wonderful stay. I'll definitely come back.

The staff made our group feel right at home, and they even baked a delicious cake for the birthday we celebrated there. Mauricio, the owner's 14-year-old son, deserves a special mention. He brought his portable speaker and made sure to play Happy Birthday for us. The restaurant served fresh, tasty food, and the grounds were kept beautifully. Our nine-person group stayed in the villas while visiting Machu Picchu. They were comfortable and nicely decorated with local touches. Staff offered to light the fireplace each night, and space heaters were available for anyone who didn't want one. The Lodge sits in a gorgeous natural setting. Getting there is an adventure, since the roads around Urubamba are narrow and winding. An amazing experience.
