When we left around 6am, the driver we had booked separately from the hotel never showed up. The hotel staff moved quickly and found us alternate transportation to Ollantaytambo. They went above and beyond, and we're very grateful! The rooms and outdoor space are cute. We ordered room service over WhatsApp, and the staff were lovely. They even brought wine glasses and an opener for a bottle we bought in town. The outdoor patio was a sweet spot for dinner.

It's a cute place with good service, and the people are nice. They brought room service daily, and breakfast was good, with eggs, fruit, bread, and coffee. But the rooms aren't insulated well, and heaters and hot water were limited. I had to take a lukewarm shower once. The bathrooms are small, really just for one person at a time. We didn't explore the area, and I wouldn't with my kids because the roads are tight and cars go fast.

It's wonderfully quiet here, set above town and just a few minutes down the gravel road to the square. No barking dogs or traffic noise, which matters a lot to me, and I'd stay again for that reason. The rooms were mold-free, the sheets clean and scent-free, a real plus with my allergy to synthetic fragrance chemicals. They were chilly, but heaters were provided. For a more expensive place, I'd expect better hot water in the showers, or even bathtubs. Breakfast was more of a typical American style, not meat and potatoes. If you don't eat bread, eggs, or cheese, you get an avocado, which doesn't seem right for the higher price. The hallways also smelled strongly of tobacco, and I don't understand why. Maybe someone was cleansing the area with mapachos? Room service took 45 minutes. My BLT came with an egg that wasn't listed in the ingredients when I ordered, so be careful if you have allergies. The bread was pretty stale too, and the sandwich wasn't good.

We had a wonderful stay with our adult children in an amazing room with four beds, a great bathroom, and mountain views. Breakfast was included, and dinner on our first night was very good too. The whole place feels like a fairy tale, with about 30 rooms in Alpine-style buildings, gardens, cobblestone paths, and a lovely dining room. It's around a 10-minute walk from town. Truly magical.

Such beautiful gardens, and the buildings and layout are thoughtfully designed. The gated grounds feel very secure, and the central plaza is only a one-minute walk away. Breakfast was delicious, made with healthy local ingredients. Staff can arrange transportation, hikes, and recommendations. Incredible value.
