For what they offer, the hotel was super cheap. It felt nice and more homey than other hotels in Yurimaguas, and the staff were absolutely friendly. The internet wasn't great, but that's pretty much the case across Peru, especially in the provinces, so I can't blame the hotel for that. I’d definitely recommend it.

I wish I could leave a positive review because the people running the place are really nice, but there were too many problems. We asked for a queen bed and got one much smaller, barely enough for two. The internet kept cutting out, and whenever we left the room they turned off the AC, so it was hot and sticky again when we came back. There was no free soap or shampoo, and the included breakfast was barely a snack. The first room shown to our friends had black mold on the walls. Our shower was dirty, had hairs in it, and hadn't been cleaned before we arrived. There was no safe box or fridge. Hotel Rio Huallaga offered us a better room for the same price. I changed my rating from 2 stars to 1 after the owner called me dishonest and gave unsatisfactory responses to several of my points. Is that really how you want to treat your clients?

With just 14 bedrooms, the place felt private and homey, and it was peaceful and quiet. The central Plaza de Armas is only a few blocks away. Breakfast is included, the staff are very friendly, and there's free Wi-Fi in the rooms and public areas.

Good rooms and a nice hotel. Having AC is a plus!
