They put us in a room different from the one we ordered, and it hadn’t been cleaned or tidied. The toilet was broken, and the manager was rude. In the end, we were charged above the normal rate and told to leave the hotel.

The people were really nice and friendly. They picked me up at Cusco Airport and kept in touch with me on WhatsApp, guiding me along the way. I had a very comfortable stay at CASA DORADA. Thank you, good job, guys.

The area was great, with everything close by and just a 5 to 8 minute taxi ride from the city center. Mrs. Manuela was so kind, attentive, and full of warmth. She was always willing to help, and breakfast was both delicious and generous. We were very happy with our stay!

The tour happened on the day we wanted, but the rest of the Machu Picchu trip we booked with Manuela was a real headache. The guide, hired through the company, knew little about the site and gave us incorrect information, even though this wasn’t our first visit. We had also paid Casa Dorada Tours for private transport as part of the package, but the return was in a shared minibus. The driver, Brando, overtook on solid traffic lines with no visibility, then swerved back when cars were coming the other way. There were 19 people at risk, and one extra passenger was sitting on the floor because the minibus was full. The transport was reckless and the guide service was very poor. I wouldn’t book with them again.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was ideal. Manuela also knows Cusco and its stories inside out, making her an excellent tour guide. Her hospitality felt warm and genuine from the start, and I felt right at home. I’d definitely recommend the place and the host. 👌🏼
