For $120 US a night, this felt like a total rip-off. It wasn’t worth $60. The place was functional, but had no soul. Nobody cleaned my room during my three-night stay, and I never saw or heard another guest. The restaurant always looked closed, though they said I could order breakfast the night before. There was nothing nearby unless you walked 15 minutes down the hill. The AC was decent and the shower OK, but the beds were below par and the curtains were terrible. I read your response. This is the first time I’ve heard that the hotel is a trainee facility, and you only mentioned it in response to a negative review. It wasn’t clearly communicated before, during, or after booking, and it wasn’t apparent at the hotel. How does that justify such an outrageous price? It makes things worse. I’m your unwitting, unknown guinea pig in a bad hotel with bad service, and you’re complaining that you can’t identify me to fix your problem. How does that help me, the one who received the poor service and overpriced room? Shame on you and your arrogant attitude. Customers should know this part of Tahiti isn’t special. They overcharge because they can, not because the experience justifies it. This is a $50 hotel on an island that doesn’t justify more.
The bathroom was absolutely dirty, and when we brought it up at reception, they checked and admitted it hadn’t been cleaned at all. That’s not acceptable. The property also looked run-down compared with the online photos, and the room itself was extremely basic. Overall, a disappointing stay.
After our flight out of Papeete was delayed, we needed somewhere to stay in a hurry. Someone on our cruise had stayed here before and recommended it as a cost-effective option. Mata at reception kindly arranged three rooms for us late in the evening. The rooms aren’t fancy, but they’re clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight: the Continental and Americain options were both excellent in quality and quantity, and the Americain meal was especially hearty. Mata was also our helpful, accommodating waiter. I’d strongly recommend this as a place to stay while in transit during a visit to Tahiti.
Pretty basic, but fine for the price. The room was clean enough, and the air conditioning was quiet. It worked out well for a one-night stay.
The room was clean, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. There’s no dinner option, unfortunately, even midweek. The American breakfast was huge, with plenty of variety, so I’d suggest one person get that and the other order the continental. There were lots of mosquitoes in the lobby, but reception had repellent, and we didn’t find any in the rooms. Nice hotel, and it has air conditioning.
