The people, service, atmosphere, and food were all outstanding. It's a beautiful, restful place for an adventure. This island and hotel are both real gems. Special thanks to AnaRei at reception for all her smiles and care. We'll be back!!

The Polynesian dance show deserves a special mention. We'd seen performances at the Four Seasons in Bora Bora, but these dancers were so professional, with a great mix of dances and acts. They were joyful and full of energy. Guests could watch for free even if they hadn't eaten there, which felt like a real honor. We later learned the performers had won competitions across the Polynesian islands. Don't miss the show if it's on during your stay. We stayed in a lake bungalow near the main bridge and barely saw anyone around, even though the resort was fully booked. At night there were a few neighbors across the pond. The room temperature was easy to adjust with a fan or AC, or by sleeping with the doors open. We kept them shut because of some bugs. The staff were wonderful. Reception was friendly, honest, and delightful. They gave us complimentary drinks for our honeymoon. Moana was especially kind, though everyone was great. The location worked well, with Izzy's, maybe the best restaurant in French Polynesia, a short walk away. The main grocery store and street food were about a 15-minute walk. There's a little museum in the lobby about the region's history, and you could easily spend an hour reading it. The cabanas are spacious and unusual, set around a lake with fish and crabs all over. We even spotted an eel. The location is hard to beat, with the Yacht Club down the beach and Izzy's, the best burger spot, across the street. Love this place!

The beach is just a short walk through the restaurant from reception, with a gorgeous pool and loungers right there too. You can follow the beach into the little village for groceries, a bank, bars, and restaurants. There's also a small museum by reception about the island's story. Huahine is a seriously magical island, and this cozy little village hotel is wonderfully relaxing. Its 30 guest huts sit beside a pond with water flowers. The private villas have plunge pools and big outdoor spaces, plus a large room with a refrigerator and a lovely, spacious bathroom. Very nice.
