The bungalow was in a beautiful spot, and the welcome was warm. Inside, the facilities were good and the bathroom design was amazing. Mosquitoes and humidity were the downside, but we still had a nice experience and would recommend it.

We asked to cancel because we didn’t feel comfortable driving that road, but our request was refused without any compromise. That’s why I’m writing this, so other potential guests know what to expect. Access is by dirt road, and after checking it out, we were shocked by its condition. We’d have to drive it at least twice a day and were worried we’d damage our rental car. We had booked knowing about the dirt road and were assured that any type of car could manage in dry conditions. The property’s website does say an SUV or 4x4 is needed, but Booking.com didn’t mention that. Those vehicles aren’t easy to rent on the island, and getting one would have cost more.

Julien taught us about the local plants and wildlife, and we loved chatting with him. He and Megan made us feel so at home and even served the most delicious breakfasts. The setting and views of the surrounding mountains were superb. Our private cabin was delightful, especially the bathroom full of plants, and we loved the pool. We had the best time at Village Temanoha and will definitely stay again when we’re back in Moorea.

The cabins were clean and really interesting, and the grounds and neighborhood felt like an amazing paradise. We came with two families of four, each with a bungalow and kids from pre-teen to teen. Julien and Megan were wonderful hosts, easy to talk with about Moorea, kind, interesting, and keen to help our group enjoy the island. We’re American and don’t speak French, but that wasn’t a problem since their English was excellent. We speak decent Spanish too, don’t judge. It’s not a luxury resort, and the price reflects that, so don’t expect one. We managed the drive in our tiny rental cars. Just be patient and you’ll find it. We’d definitely come back.

We only stayed one night in our bungalow, surrounded by beautiful, lush, quiet scenery, and enjoyed it. Nico, Julien, and his wife Megan were warm, helpful, and interesting hosts. Wishing them all the best, and thank you.
