We really appreciated how flexible the hosts were about check-in and checkout. The rooms were large and very clean, and the hosts were fantastic. It's a great place to stay and unwind, with a peaceful patio and garden. Breakfast was simple, just coffee or tea. Walking to the center takes about 15 minutes, but the traffic and bad sidewalks make it difficult. A taxi ride was $11.

Our host was warm and welcoming after a long flight, and the breakfast was simple but delicious. The place was bigger than we expected, a lovely first-night stay in Papeete. Check-in and checkout were easy, and they accepted credit cards. Booking.com hadn't charged us for the room ahead of time. We arranged an airport taxi without trouble. The driver said the area might not be safe to walk through at night, though it felt fine to us. Downtown wasn't a long walk, and there are roulettes, restaurants, bars, and other places there. A good affordable option for a simple stay not far from the airport or town. Highly recommended.

Georgy was such a welcoming host that we hated to leave. We could talk with him for hours, and he shared island tips we'd never heard from anyone else. Our flight was very late, but he let us stay longer for almost nothing, really taking very little. We had an amazing stay at Fare D'Hotes Tutehau and definitely recommend it. The rooms were lovely and sparkling clean, and breakfast was outstanding with lots of fresh fruit. If you can find a booking, take it!
