We waited an hour just for water and two and a half hours for food, even though we were the first people in the restaurant. We came with a charter group that had sent our orders three days before the reservation. While we waited, every other table sat, ate, left, and was cleared before we got a second small cup of tap water. The food only came after we complained. The fish was rubbery and the steaks overcooked. The menu was misleading, with no truffle at all on the plate despite listing it as an ingredient. They brought items we hadn't ordered and expected us to pay for them. The kids' butter noodles and three fish sticks cost $18 USD, arrived hot enough to cause second-degree burns right in front of my 3-year-old, and took over two hours to arrive. Staff were disrespectful on top of everything else. I've never paid so much just to spit my food into a napkin. Then, once the plates were cleared, ants immediately crawled all over the table. This was the worst restaurant and service I've ever experienced. Save yourself the vacation disappointment and go literally ANYWHERE else.

A peaceful spot with a pier for getting into the water, plus kayaks and boards to use. The hotel has a lovely plantation style, with a central room and separate mint green bungalows facing the beach.

Snorkeling was great, and the sunsets were beautiful. Free kayaks let us paddle out to a small isolated island and snorkel there. The dock staff were pleasant and helpful. We also enjoyed an evening with a local Polynesian dance group and buffet, and the pool was very nice. The hotel was clean and well cared for, with great staff. From the welcome and cold towel to the front desk, bar, and restaurant service, everything felt good. The restaurant food was very good. The free bikes were old but usable, and the car we rented from the hotel was perfectly adequate for a day. There were some mosquitoes in the evenings, so bring DEET. You do have to cross the road to reach the ocean, but it wasn't a problem. A dock walkway over the coral leads to a small boathouse where you can snorkel or take kayaks out.

We got upgraded to a lagoon view room with a nice balcony, and the grounds were lovely. The lodge is across from a reef that's easy to snorkel at. Everyone was kind, and we had fun at the New Year's Eve party they hosted. The rooms were good and had a view. Breakfast was standard continental, while dinner had several choices included in the room rate.

The hotel was beautiful and had live entertainment. The food was delicious, especially the breakfast buffet. Please keep making that lovely vanilla yogurt and those heartwarming baguettes, and please keep serving that delicious butter!
