Alotau International Hotel

We felt at home thanks to the open, friendly staff, and really appreciated how trustworthy they were. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean, and the security guards made our safety feel like a priority. Meals were delicious, big thumbs up to Chief Jack and his crew. Reception gave us such a warm welcome, and thanks to Rachael and her housekeeping colleagues for being honest. We loved the service from reception, the restaurant, the bar, and housekeeping. It was the best experience 🥰.

I didn't feel safe in the room they gave me, at the back of the hotel with nobody around, so I had to leave during the night. There were drunk people wandering around. I'd paid a week ahead, but they lost our booking. The so-called apartment was more like a storage room, with things falling apart or not working, and the customer service was poor.

The bay view is good, since the hotel sits by the sea. It's also right in the middle of town, about a 5 minute walk to the main shops and 15 minutes to the main market. The staff take pride in keeping things clean, from the grounds through to the rooms.

There’s a lovely, spacious lawn to sit and relax on, and the grounds are fenced with security. Guests staying outside the hotel can buy drinks at the bar. You can also ask to have pizza served outside on the lawn.
