The rooms need attention. They're dated and need maintenance or an upgrade to meet modern standards. On the plus side, the hotel is centrally located and has a lovely sea view. The whole staff were consistently courteous and polite. I appreciated having an on-site restaurant and cafe, and the restaurant's many plants and flowers create a beautiful botanical feel, though service there was a little slow.

The staff at Liamo Resort are so friendly and helpful, and they really make you feel welcome. We found the rooms clean, comfortable, and well-kept, with good value for the money. The restaurant had a nice range of food, including fresh local choices and great seafood, and it was a lovely place to unwind in the evening. Right by the water, the setting is beautiful and peaceful, with plenty of space to relax. It's close to town but still feels private and quiet. A great base for enjoying Kimbe's natural beauty, whether you're visiting for business or a break. Highly recommend Liamo Resort if you're coming to West New Britain.

Jackie at reception was a superstar. She upgraded us from the basic room to a bungalow, which was perfect, after we were shown several rooms that still weren't clean enough. I'm not usually fussy, but for that price I expected at least basic cleanliness. The restaurant was delicious and cheap, and everyone working there was so nice. There's a crocodile at the back of the resort, though its cage is tiny. The website says they organize lots of tours, but they don't, they only give you walindibresort's number. Jackie once again took time out of her own schedule to help organize things for us.

The sunsets over Kimbe Bay are breathtaking, and with some luck you might see dolphins or locals paddling past in traditional canoes. Liamo Reef Resort sits right on the waterfront in Kimbe, among lush gardens and palms, with lovely ocean views. It's a peaceful, laid-back and comfortable base for exploring West New Britain's natural wonders, while still being close to town.

Waiting for food took a long time, even though the restaurant wasn't very busy. Still, Liamo Reef Resort is a beautiful, relaxing place to stay in Kimbe. The ocean views are stunning, and the peaceful setting and comfortable, welcoming atmosphere make it a lovely getaway. Faster dining service would bring the experience close to perfect.
