The ocean views are stunning, with boats docking in Madang’s channel beside the hotel and overloaded speedboats crossing the water to look for island passengers. The grounds are green and the lawn is well kept, though it can get bushy for my taste. Facilities are nice, including a floodlit tennis court and a pool open from 6 am to 8 pm. The pool is very large, but extremely salty, so I suspect they pump in seawater. It’s quite pricey, though nearly everything else in PNG is too. Madang Resort is the hotel section, while the long-term apartments make up Kalibobo Village.
