The service was good, and the staff made an effort to greet us and help. The location is also handy for walking to the beach, and being a little farther away meant the rooms stayed quiet once the loud beachfront music and karaoke started at night. We visited in June 2026, when there was a lot of construction inside and around the resort. Drilling and machinery made noise all day, ugly boards covered much of the garden, and two of the three pools were closed. The place feels old, tired, and rough around the edges, like a neglected, sickly relative. A flying termite infestation appeared in our room after sunset one night. They didn’t bite, so we weren’t too bothered, but there were loads of mosquitoes. Housekeeping didn’t spray after we asked, and our room wasn’t cleaned during our two-night stay, even though we requested it twice. Still, this is the sort of hotel you mainly use for sleeping between beach and pool time. The restaurant is a rip-off. They ask 660 pesos for basic chop suey, while the same dish costs 75 pesos at beachfront restaurants just 30 metres down the beach. The complimentary breakfast is fine, but I’d eat other meals elsewhere. Keep expectations low and remember it’s a budget option, and you may enjoy it.

The buffet at the hotel restaurant was the cheapest meal I had during my whole stay, and the food choices were decent, especially for a pescatarian. The hotel is also Muslim-friendly, with a Muslim-friendly pool, halal choices in the restaurant, and a certificate in the lobby recognizing its accommodation of Muslim practices. My room was decent for the price in Boracay, with plenty of space for two. I was traveling alone for business, so I had extra room to myself, and I was happy to find a bathtub. I liked the orange branding too, since orange is my favorite color, and the room interior suited me. The staff were really nice and added to my feeling that Boracay lived up to its paradise reputation. It’s a bit of a walk to the beach, but on a clear day the west-facing sunset is great. I enjoyed staying here. I’m not sure whether I’ll come back, since I was on a business trip, but the comfort and service from Paradise Garden made the trip more enjoyable.

The resort felt run down and poorly maintained, and it didn’t seem like a four-star hotel compared with places in the US. A lot of the employees were friendly, but I also dealt with several managers who weren’t customer-friendly. I asked for extra towels and was told we could only have one per guest. The towels themselves were old and rough. They charged me 100 pesos to heat my food in the restaurant microwave, even though the room had no microwave and I wasn’t even eating the free breakfast. When I asked to buy lechon by itself, the manager said I had to get the buffet. They also charged me $110 for a small bottle of water, although the same bottle cost less in the room. It felt like they take advantage of customers because they know you’re a foreigner. I thought they might at least treat me better since I’m Filipino, but apparently not. I can see why hardly anyone stays there. Never coming back!

For ₱999, the dinner buffet at Paradise Garden Resort Hotel & Convention Center included lechon and a good range of dishes. Almost everything we sampled was delicious, and with Boracay restaurants often being expensive, the value was a pleasant surprise. We only tried dinner, but it was well worth the price. If you want a filling meal without spending too much, I’d recommend it.

We first stayed here in March 2025 after a friend recommended the place. Unlimited bacon at the breakfast buffet was what convinced me, and that visit lived up to it: a roomy room, cozy atmosphere, accommodating staff, and plenty of bacon. We’ve always had a great experience here. When we came back during 2026 Lenten week, we asked for the same area as the year before. We got a different room, but it was still in that section and spacious and cozy. Bacon wasn’t out at breakfast because of the kenten season. On our second morning, I asked if we could order it à la carte. The waiting staff and assistant manager explained within minutes that it was part of the buffet but wasn’t being served out of respect for Lenten tradition. Since I’d asked, they kindly made some for our table at no extra charge, and it arrived in less than ten minutes. That thoughtful gesture made my Boracay vacation this year. The comfortable rooms and staff who go the extra mile make this a favorite, and I’ll definitely come back.
