Pilot Hotel

I’ll choose this hotel again next time I’m in the area, mostly because the staff were so friendly. We spent a lot of time chatting with them in the lobby, and after a few days they felt more like friends than hotel employees. The hotel is large, with a peaceful feel and a beautiful main lobby. Ask the staff about its interesting history. There are two pools, one that works well for families with kids and another that’s quieter for relaxing. My room was small but laid out thoughtfully, so it was easy to unpack and settle in, and it had a lovely balcony view. It was generally clean, though not spotless, and the bathrooms could use a remodel. Rooms can get warm, so ask the staff to turn on the AC before you arrive; it takes a little while to cool down, then stays comfortable. It’s a quiet, restful place, and a quick, convenient tricycle ride gets you to the main town. This is Alaminos, not a five-star luxury resort, but I had a great experience. A solid four-star option for a comfortable, friendly stay.

Great experience! There are several pools, and all of them have slides, though I didn’t get pictures of the others. They also have a live band, as you can see in the picture.

It has a relaxed vibe and feels like you’re away from the city, while still offering good amenities. The Wi-Fi is fast, the staff are accommodating, and the facilities are clean. I’ll definitely come back!

Honestly disgusting. They charged us $100 USD (5,000 Pesos), but there was no toilet seat cover and hardly any running water. The sink only dripped, and the shower is right beside the toilet. The bathroom flooded while I showered because the old drain needs replacing. Pitiful, a waste of money. It’s a joke.
