The dorm had fans, curtains and lockers, all useful, though my bed, number 10, was worn out and uncomfortable. I could have switched beds, but it didn’t bother me too much. The breakfast and coffee were great, and there’s a good restaurant next door with vegetarian options if you’d rather skip the family dinner. The hostel also has laundry, scooter rentals, taxi service and scooter routes. I came by bus and asked the driver to let me off by the dirt road to 1 peace. The oceanfront setting feels like a little paradise, with plenty of spots to relax. What made it special for me, though, was the crew. Everyone was welcoming and greeted me with a smile. The two French guys at the bar were great, and Christina and Christian were so friendly and helpful that they started to feel like family. 1 peace felt like a home away from home. Meeting people along the way is a big part of why I love the Philippines, and the staff here are a reason I’d return to Anda. It’s affordable, clean and in a beautiful spot. I’d love to come back and dive with you someday. Thanks for everything, and much love and salamat 🇵🇭🙏🏖️

The family dinner was a lovely way to wind down and meet the other guests, and a special thanks to chef Norberto for the fantastic food. Christy at reception and Berty at the bar made us feel at home right away. I spent a week at the resort while diving with its dive center. The diving was excellent, and I’d recommend it to beginners as well as experienced divers. The facilities are simple, but clean and well cared for. I booked a Beach Bungalow, which had a perfect view of the beach.

The dive shop is well managed, the gear is in good shape, and renting an underwater scooter, or DPV, was a nice surprise. There’s always pleasant background music around the bar, too. I first came to the Philippines in 1997 and stayed for a year, then moved to Bunaken Marine Park in Indonesia, where I ran my own PADI 5 Star dive resort for 25 years. Now I’m back in the Philippines and have spent two years around Panglao and Bohol looking for somewhere to settle. The food and weather were better in Manado, and building culture is much more developed in Indonesia. It’s been hard work making a good home here in Bohol. 1 Peace Beach Resort is one of my favorite places. I come here for lunch every day and dive once or twice a week. It’s quiet and peaceful, with a lovely sea view and no hassle. Bunaken Marine Park, where I lived for 25 years, has the richest reef in the world, but 1 Peace isn’t far behind. There are definitely more turtles and giant clams here! If you’re planning a holiday in Bohol, stay at 1 Peace. From me, it gets three Michelin stars, and it’s the only place in Bohol I’d give them to.

The family dinner was amazing, and the food was great across the board. I especially loved the breakfast omelette. Rooms were lovely and clean, and the bar was well stocked and a lot of fun. The atmosphere was hard to beat, and the people were 10/10. Great value for money, too. I tried scuba diving for the first time here and felt completely safe and looked after. We saw so much, and there’s a great reef nearby. The staff and everyone else were incredible and made sure I had a great time. I felt right at home and would definitely return. 100% recommend. Thank you One Piece!!!!

The beach was beautiful, the food absolutely delicious, and our bungalow was just a few meters from the sea. Staying at 1peace was a fantastic experience we won’t forget. Our first night had one rough patch: we woke at 1AM because other guests were making a lot of noise and drinking. Bertrand, the bartender, helped me talk with them and ask them to quiet down so we could get back to sleep.
