The staff were very nice and kind, and the view and beach are quite nice. The restaurant was okay, and breakfast had great bread, some of the best I’ve had in the Philippines over many years, even better than at fancy hotels I’ve stayed in. But a friend was once served uncooked meat. On arrival, reception wasn’t ready for our online reservation, so check-in took a long time after many exhausting hours of travel. It seems they don’t check email even hourly and may know nothing about same-day reservations. The room was okay, though quite small for the price, especially compared with the huge family room that cost only slightly more. The bathroom had a strong artificial smell that I couldn’t bear, but I managed to get it out of the room. They also used too much room spray when cleaning. The shampoo in the bathroom was absolutely tiny and wasn’t replenished daily, which wasn’t what I expected for the price. I first wanted to extend our stay by a few days, but they wanted to charge us more for cash than what we’d paid online, so we checked out instead.

For somewhere romantic, quiet, and peaceful, I’d recommend casa amihan. The rooms were lovely and comfortable, and the restaurant food was wonderful, with large portions at reasonable prices. This was probably our favorite hotel on our trip to the Philippines. Right in front of the sea, it’s a superb location. So peaceful, with good food and good service.

It’s a sweet little boutique hotel, right by the sea, with just seven rooms. We enjoyed the restaurant. Vegetarian choices are a bit limited, though there are two to three nice places in town as alternatives. I’d stay here again. Thank you!
