The cliff view is great, and the place is unique, tucked away in the literal jungle. But the safety and accommodation are 3/10, and service is 1/10. With the place seemingly abandoned and what we called “less maintenance,” I saw a high risk of snakes getting into the rooms. I don’t recommend it. The room gets 1/10. It was spacious, but not safe. There was a “URINAL CAKE” used as an air freshener, which is a no-no, just one roll of toilet paper, no water bottles, no refrigerator for food or drinks, and no door on the comfort room. Wi-Fi works in the dining area but not in the rooms. The signal is good, so if you have mobile data, you should be fine. They only serve breakfast. Before we arrived, they promised a motorcycle for us to rent, but when we got there none was available. There was no explanation or even an apology.

Kim and his wife Shari were lovely and very accommodating, and they’ve thought of a lot of details that make a stay easy. They provided snorkeling gear, arranged scooter rentals without hassle, and sorted out a taxi for our onward trip. Kim’s garden is a peaceful, jungle-like place set in beautifully preserved natural land, with direct access to the sea. The rooms were clean and the shower worked well. Breakfast was excellent. They also run a restaurant five kilometers away with outstanding vegetarian food, which isn’t common in Bohol, as well as well-prepared local dishes. Many ingredients come from their own farm. Our stay was incredible, highly recommended for a serene, easy getaway!

The coral reef is about a 10-minute swim away, so the seaside location is great for snorkeling. The rooms are spacious and clean, though the property could use more maintenance. There are quite a few dogs around, so it may not suit you if you don’t like dogs. Breakfasts get repetitive, and the coffee is weak. Kim's Garden on Bohol is a peaceful place for anyone wanting to be far from the crowds. It’s set in a lush garden that’s gradually become jungle. Some might find it enchanting, others a little overgrown or neglected. It’s a good fit if you want nature, quiet, and the sea nearby. If you’re after luxury or a varied breakfast menu, you may want to look elsewhere.

Kim is a gardener, and he’s made a jungle without mosquitoes, so you can spend the evenings without irritating bugs. The jungle living experience was superb. Kim and his wife are super nice and have created a little paradise, with their own beach and amazing views. Breakfast was freshly cooked, generous, and super tasty. One of the best places I’ve ever visited. Strongly recommend!

The owners were considerate and accommodating when we needed to leave early and asked to move our breakfast payment to dinner. They also agreed to relocate the Wi-Fi so it would be easier to access, since it was a bit far away. I’d recommend the place for families or groups of friends. We were four friends and stayed one night. The setting has a natural feel, quiet and away from crowds, and it’s close to a lovely white sand beach. The sunrise is breathtaking, and snorkeling is an option too. It’s quite far from the main road, around a five-minute drive, so having a car or other transport would help. The sheets seemed like they hadn’t been changed in a long time, so they should be replaced before guests arrive. More outdoor lighting would also be useful.
