The staff are lovely, always helpful and polite, and I’d still recommend the place for them. The rooftop is great for food, drinks, relaxing, or getting some work done, and the food is really good. The downside is the noise: the walls are thin, and music from some shared areas carries into the rooms, even through earplugs. In room 503, for example, it was loud. The heavy chairs scrape across the tiled floor whenever neighbors move them, making a huge racket. My first night, I argued with neighbors who kept moving a chair every ten minutes at 4:30 a.m. Maybe lighter chairs would help once these wear out.

The staff were courteous, helpful, and polite, but our first stay here was a real disappointment. When we entered room 706, there was an unpleasant smell, and the door lock wasn’t working properly. The little refrigerator wouldn’t stay cold. I didn’t raise those issues at the time because I didn’t want to disrupt Christmas Eve. At checkout, we went to the rooftop restaurant and waited an hour for two milkshakes, fries, and nachos, despite following up several times. Then it took a staff member 20 minutes to enter 903 into the card terminal because he didn’t know how to use it. I didn’t expect this from a hotel endorsed by vloggers like Beks Battalion, and I have no reason to come back.

We had a good stay here two years ago, but this visit was awful. The online booking led to a long, unnecessarily complicated check-in. In the room, the shower didn’t work, there were no towels, and staff even tried to charge us when we asked for some. The sheets were dirty and the comforter visibly stained. The TV had no network; we called maintenance three times and nobody came. Wi-Fi was extremely slow too. For what we paid, the poor hygiene and lack of basic service were unacceptable.

Prices were confusing and misleading. I called and was told we’d get 20% off, but the rate they gave us when we arrived to book was different. Online prices also didn’t match the in-person ones. The receptionist seemed unsure what she was doing, and the whole process could put customers off.
