The room was clean, but the aircon seemed to set off my allergies, like allergic rhinitis. Please clean it from time to time 🥹

My wife and I were both bitten and scratched all night. Five days later, the bites had faded in the photos I sent, but they were much worse when we checked out. I showed the bites on my back to the front desk staff then, and left a polite note asking the manager to contact me about the bed bugs in the mattresses. I got no reply for five days. When we were back in Tacloban, I stopped by, showed the staff my back again, and asked the manager to follow up. Later that night she finally contacted me. She said she'd scolded housekeeping and promised the rooms would be cleaner in future. She apologized for my “mosquito bites”. I reminded her these were BED BUG BITES, not mosquito bites, and sent the photos. I told her the mattresses probably needed steaming and possibly replacing, and that this wasn't a problem caused by her staff. She said she couldn't blame me if I chose not to stay there again. She clearly doesn't care and has no plan to deal with the infestation or stop it from happening again. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! The mattresses are infested with bed bugs. We definitely won't be coming back.

Water ran out during our stay, and the building and rooms feel a little dated. The Wi-Fi is available, but takes a while to connect. The lobby gets very hot in summer because there isn't enough air circulation. Free breakfast is included with the room. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. If you're after a budget hotel with really helpful staff, it might be worth a visit. For the same price, though, other hotels may leave guests more satisfied.
