Slow internet was one issue this time, though the hotel seemed full, so maybe lots of guests were sharing the connection. The bigger change was the room: there was dried liquid on the entry floor that made it sticky, dust along the door trim, and used bathroom items left in a cabinet. The bed creaked whenever we moved, which made resting less comfortable. My family and I had stayed twice before and those visits were clean and comfortable, so we came back expecting the same. We’ve always liked the atmosphere and the effort the staff puts into hospitality. More careful housekeeping checks, room upkeep, and possibly more internet capacity could help. I’d still consider returning, and hope this feedback helps.

The location worked for us, about a seven-minute walk to SM City Clark, and our room had plenty of storage, a sofa between the twin beds, a table, and a small kitchenette with a one-burner electric stove. There may be a kettle too, though I’m not sure every room is set up the same way. We got a small soap, toothbrush and toothpaste, plus little packets of body wash and shampoo, but that might not be enough for two. Internet was usually around 50-75 Mbps, though once it fell to 5-6 Mbps. We didn’t watch TV during our six days. We paid 10,300 pesos, listed as $29.50 a day, through Agoda, but with the exchange rate it came to more like $27. The place was fine for a budget stay and served our needs. We’d come back, but people looking for a pool, gym, or included breakfast should look elsewhere. Mr Park had assured us breakfast wasn’t included, despite seeing it listed on other apps, and it costs 300 pesos per person. There aren’t really restaurants right nearby, just Reyes Store for coffee. We didn’t try any of the food. I was told the main guests are Korean missionaries. We arrived early on Feb 26, 2026, when every room was sold out, and had to wait while ours was cleaned. They let us store our luggage. Janice greeted us, but didn’t explain much about the room, including the Wi-Fi name and password, the separate router in each room, or the refrigerator. A week before, I’d made a special request and spoken with the owner, Mr Park. They honored it with a fourth-floor room with twin beds on the quiet side. I wish the air conditioner and refrigerator had been running before we moved in. The bed was very hard, maybe a new foam mattress, though I can’t say about the other bed. We slept reasonably well but were sometimes sore in the morning. If you like a very firm bed, this could suit you, otherwise think twice. There’s a laundry place directly across the street, but I wouldn’t recommend it. She charges 170 pesos for 2 kilos. A five-minute walk toward SM City Clark, across from Sabrina Brilliant salon, you can get 8 kilos done for 170 pesos. Sabrina Brilliant did my wife’s hair very well, and we used our own soap for laundry. We didn’t need much beyond a place to sleep. Overall, about 4.25 stars for a 2-3 star hotel.

The room had a loveseat, table, fridge, and sink, and the bed was comfortable. WiFi was reliable and the air conditioning worked well. It was also handy for getting around, with SM City Clark, 7-Eleven, the bus terminal, and eateries about a 10-20 minute walk away. I was there solo for three nights in March 2026. The elevator went out now and then, and the water stopped for about 30 minutes one day. Once it came back, I had to run the faucet and shower for five minutes to clear the dirty lines. The cafe stayed open until 5PM, but the attached restaurant was closed even though there was a menu in the room. Front desk staff were efficient, though they didn’t engage much or come across as especially welcoming.

Good-sized rooms for the price, and the hotel is clean. It’s just outside SM Clark. This is going to be my regular place when I’m in town, and I’ll recommend it to family and friends.

I didn’t stay because I mixed up my reservation. I was annoyed that the male receptionist didn’t offer to call a taxi and said a trike would be enough. I had a suitcase and a bag, and didn’t think that was a safe suggestion. I wasn’t uncomfortable, just frustrated that he didn’t provide that courtesy as someone working in hospitality. I’m a foreigner and don’t know the local use of “Grab”; “taxi” has been understood at every other hotel I’ve stayed at in the Philippines. The response I received also felt short on substance and accountability, as if the hotel didn’t want the business. If that’s the model, good luck. He should go back to cleaning or maintenance.
