ZEN Rooms West Makati Hotel

The reception staff were patient and polite. For a basic hotel, we had bottled water and slippers in the room, the glasses were covered with paper bags to keep dust off, and there was a hot and cold water dispenser on our floor. Getting there was difficult, and there's no 24/7 convenience store nearby. The neighborhood isn't somewhere you'd want to walk around looking for one. At checkout, around 4:50 a.m., the elevator was under maintenance, so we had to carry our luggage down four flights of stairs.

We booked an overnight stay to meet friends in Makati without getting stuck in traffic coming from where we live. The main drawback is finding the hotel: the sign just said "West Makati Hotel," and with another OYO nearby, it was confusing. They could update it to "OYO 125 West Makati Hotel." For the money, though, it's a good deal. The WiFi was fast, the rooms were clean and spacious enough, and the AC was cool. Staff seemed to be cleaning throughout the hotel around the clock. Parking spaces are limited, but the guards provide free valet service. Water is free to refill, and the coffee shop staff were nice and accommodating when I ordered breakfast. I'd stay again and recommend it to friends looking for a clean, affordable room that feels worth the price.

I ended up checking in because our house had no electricity for six hours. It was a great find for a local like me: good price, good food, and a clean room and lobby. The location is good, although not convenient for public transport like jeepneys or buses. Taxis pass by often and Grab cars are available. The front desk staff speak English fluently. Highly recommended.

The rooms are clean and well maintained, and the place is nice and affordable. There was construction noise from the building behind us, but it didn't bother me at night. You get good value for your money.
