The staff were accommodating and helpful, but I wouldn’t book here again. I stayed four nights in a bunk room with long-term tenants, and they had little consideration for others. They played loud music, talked on the phone, and worked out with speakers on early in the morning and late at night. I understand the admin may not be able to control that, but mixing short-term guests and long-term tenants feels like poor planning. The tenants’ belongings were all over the room, which didn’t match the photos’ claims of well-maintained cleanliness. They also charged me ₱500 for a supposed blood stain on a towel. It was just a lipstick smudge that wasn’t permanent. I argued, and they offered to lower it to ₱300, which I had to question too. They’d wash it for the next guest anyway. It wasn’t a stain, just a smudge. Decent enough, but I wouldn’t book again.

The hostel was very clean and well located, and the security guards were exceptionally respectful and behaved very well toward guests. My only issue was the manager, moses, who seemed arrogant and, in my view, doesn’t deserve the job. I came back late after partying and asked the receptionist about extending my stay by one day, since I was due to check out in the morning. While she checked the price in the system, I sensed someone behind me. It was moses, tall and not local, making strange gestures behind me to signal that she should raise the price, as if I were drunk. I looked at him, and he left looking embarrassed. I can give the exact time and date if management wants to check the CCTV footage.

A foreign guest staying for one night sexually harassed me, but I was the one made to leave. Nobody asked what had happened or gave me due process. The rooms were good, some staff were nice, and the price was good too, but being harassed and then kicked out was a joke.

I tried the private rooms after staying in the women-only bunk area. The room was cozy, clean enough, and roomy for one or two people. There’s no TV, which suited me since I hardly watch it. The location is handy, with Rockwell just a few minutes away on foot or by jog, and they provide free water each day. They also handle problems well, and staff are warm when you ask about a concern. I’ll keep other matters private, but this was great value and felt like a home to me. The bunk beds were the nicest I’d seen, clean and supplied with towels and toiletries, and each person had a locker. It could get noisy when new transients arrived, but I enjoyed meeting friendly, decent women and making new friends. I’m straight, and living alongside other friendly straight women was just what I wanted. Two receptionists were especially helpful when I first booked, and arranged a good long-stay rate.

The mattresses are really old, and the Wi-Fi is basically nonexistent.
