The service was good and the place was clean, with aircon, wifi, and a guard at the gate. The shower had strong hot water, but the TV didn’t work. There was a water dispenser outside, though I wasn’t sure it was clean because I saw something in the cup. I didn’t get sick, though. I also found a small cockroach in each of the two toilets when I went in.

Our first impression was good: the room looked clean, they let us check in before noon, and provided instant coffee, cups, and hot water outside. Wifi worked well, there were no cockroaches or mosquitoes, and the water pressure and hot water were good. A friend who had stayed several times also said the place was clean. But later that night, walking barefoot showed us the floor between the beds was so dusty our feet turned dark. It seemed they had only cleaned the strip from the door to the bathroom, so we put our shoes on indoors. There was also a problem with our Agoda booking because the property hadn’t received Agoda’s email. Agoda refunded us, but the owner didn’t match the booked rate, P589 instead of P950. I didn’t press the issue since it was still affordable. Other reviews said the lady was nice. She was pleasant when we arrived, but the key deposit and change situation left a bad impression. I left P100 for the key deposit because I didn’t have the required P50. When we returned after dinner, we paid the room fee, and I said I’d collect my change along with the deposit at checkout. She said I had only given her P50. We had a brief discussion, then she went to “check” and returned with my “change,” looking unfriendly. I had considered letting her keep the deposit and change as a tip, but the dishonesty put me off. It was still a good stay, but have your deposit ready and pay the exact amount, or insist on your change or a receipt. For me, it’s about the values, not the money.

A friendly place to crash for the night, and water is free if you bring your own container. It’s cheap, though parking is quite limited. The caretakers were very friendly.

The room cleanliness was my one complaint. The sheets and towels were new, but one swipe over the bed showed dirt and dust covering it. The location is accessible, near schools and malls, and the service was really good. Wifi was stable too, so it’s a pretty decent place to stay apart from that.
