The room was fine if you just need somewhere to sleep. The location is reasonably good, since it's within the city, but the WC isn't very good. Breakfast isn't available, and the internet is intermittent.

We paid through Agoda for one night and the check-in went smoothly, but getting to our room on the third floor meant using the stairs since there's no elevator. The hotel looked decent at first. Our first room had a cockroach, and there were hairs on the restroom toilet that I'm pretty sure weren't from someone's head. I complained at reception, and they apologized and moved us to another room, which was okay. The room had a/c and a TV, but the TV didn't work, which frustrated my boyfriend because he couldn't watch his shows. Shampoo, soap, and towels were provided. Some areas smelled old, and there were mattresses in the hallway. The cold water dispenser was the one good thing. I expected much better for what we paid. Really disappointing.

Lacson street is a short walk away, so shops and public transportation are easy to reach. Since the hotel is on a tucked-away residential road, you miss the city's noise and bustle. The room looked a bit dated but was spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and cold a/c. The staff were very polite and helpful.

On my first visit to Bacolod City, I stayed at Royal Am Rei Hotel. The design looked a little dated, though it still had charm and worked fine, and it seemed clear the hotel has been operating for a long time and offers reliable service. The location was a real plus, close to attractions and amenities. It wasn't the best hotel or the worst, but I had a comfortable, enjoyable stay and would consider returning on a future visit.

The staff were among the most helpful I’ve come across. The rooms are clean and looked after, though many of the amenities feel old and heavily used. Some could do with replacement, even if they still work. It’s an acceptable place, but there’s room to improve.
