The Hostelry

We booked at the last minute and only had to call. The receptionist was very nice and told us we could come right over. Our room had enough space for three people, and they let us leave our bags for up to six hours after checkout so we could explore before our flight. I just wish there were a bidet.

It was easy to walk to the main road, where everything is. We had a roomy shared room with comfortable bunk beds, and since there were no other guests, the whole room was ours. The beds even had curtains for privacy.

Rolli's is right below the building, handy if you get hungry. The rooms are spacious and have contemporary designs, and the ventilation and air conditioning worked very well. Beds were comfortable, housekeeping came daily, and the bathroom heaters worked properly. Staff were accommodating and greeted us with smiles. The lobby and reception area feel spacious and homey, with room for up to 15 guests waiting, though we didn't have to wait at check-in since we visited outside peak season. We stayed a few days while visiting Bacolod, and for backpackers the rooms feel well worth the price.

The location is great, with a 24-hour Mcdonald's and Jolibee, plus a 7/11 and iMart, all within walking distance. The place was clean, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. I left my earphones behind, and they kindly helped ship them back to me. Really great place.
