The Day Pass included lunch, which was simple but tasty and satisfying. We also took the balsa boat tour, an informative, relaxing highlight that I'd recommend doing. Getting around was easy, with vintage-style jeepneys continually shuttling guests across the property for free. Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar made a lasting impression. Walking inside the heritage houses was one of my favourite parts: each felt like a time capsule, showing how people lived and preserving a piece of Philippine history. The architecture, craftsmanship, art, and historical details are remarkable, from carved wood and wrought iron to mosaics, antique furniture, and pieces from different eras and styles. It feels like a living museum, not just a tourist attraction. We had a wonderful visit and are already thinking of coming back with the family to stay overnight in one of the restored heritage houses and see the atmosphere after sunset. Definitely worth the trip if you love history and architecture.

The river cruise was the best part of my visit. It was relaxing and informative, and our guide was engaging, friendly, and clearly passionate about the history of the houses. Before leaving, don't miss the merienda stalls under the tall trees. After a long walk, they're a simple, satisfying stop. Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar has an immersive, grand atmosphere, with heritage houses and cobblestone streets. Even the intense heat didn't take away its charm. The staff were consistently warm and approachable, making it comfortable to get around. Lunch was okay, about a 6/10 for me. It wasn't bad, but I expected something more indulgent and memorable in a setting like this. The dining could be elevated to match the place's elegance. Still, it was a worthwhile and unique experience.

There are plenty of things to do here, and we loved the sights and our time at the resort. The guided tour and calesa ride were great, with well-trained guides who shared lots of information. The pool was nice for kids too. Staying and dining were borderline bad, though. We paid a lot for a beach BBQ dinner and got poor service. I understand that high prices help cover the facilities and staffing, but the dining service and experience need to improve.

The campus is beautiful and expansive, with lots of history and art to take in. It's a great place for a walk and photos, and the beach is well maintained. The staff were very nice, and we enjoyed our visit to Las Casas. Our room was clean but needed minor repairs, and the sleeping setup lacked many modern amenities. Food was our only real complaint: we wanted more light meals and snack choices in the restaurants and convenience store. There's a corkage fee if you bring your own food and drinks. I'd recommend a visit for anyone who appreciates history and architecture.

A fun fact: the owner has bought historic buildings from around the Philippines, including Mindanao, and had them brought to Las Casas Filipinas. Some have been restored to as much as 90% of their original state. A wonderful place for history lovers, highly recommended.
