The room was great, though the nearest convenience store is about an 8-10 minute walk away, so the location was just okay. Breakfast was my main letdown. For an extra 600 pesos per person, I didn’t feel the buffet was worth it. There was beef caldereta, which seemed odd for breakfast, and the lumpiang shanghai wasn’t anything special. I liked the bulgogi, even if that also felt unusual in the morning. I wanted more choices that felt like Filipino breakfast, especially since we were in the Philippines. I’ve had better hotel buffets. One place we stayed in Kalibo had fewer dishes, but everything tasted great. Also, someone took the umbrella from our room as we were leaving the buffet. We called the front desk as soon as we got back, and buffet staff said they’d contact them too, but at checkout we were still asked about the missing umbrella.

I paid ₱7,000 a night and found the place filthy, with maintenance and cleanliness clearly neglected. The glasses had an oily film, both bathroom sinks were broken, and the towels were worn through in places. One sink wouldn’t drain properly, while the other had a knob that spun when I tried to turn on the water. There were dried water marks around the sinks, too. The toilet had visible urine stains, and the kitchen sink held dirty yellowish liquid that hadn’t drained. A broken bathroom access panel wouldn’t close. The room lobby was dusty and littered. Around 2 a.m. the AC began leaking while we were asleep, and when maintenance came, its filter was obviously very dirty. After all that, I doubt the pool is properly maintained either.

The water spa was really nice, and the room had lots of outlets, fast internet, and a smart TV. It was spacious too. Shower and faucet pressure, though, was weak.

There’s a lot here: two pools, a connected kiddie pool, a waterfall, and plenty of showers, including some in the pool. The lobby is beautiful and serves drinks, a bit like Shangri-La, and there’s a yummy buffet, sauna, and kids’ playpen. The BMBT Intl. Academy is here too, among other things. They’ve just opened capsule rooms at 1K per person. Free Wi-Fi and parking, air-conditioning, pet-friendly, and a nice view. It’s close to Aqua Planet waterpark, Clark Parade Grounds, the airport, and Dinosaurs Island.

The room was clean, but the jacuzzi suite was almost ₱18,000 a night with tax, and neither the jacuzzi nor the tub was usable. Little green plants were growing out of the jacuzzi holes, which looked unhygienic and unsafe. The bathtub only had hot water, and even after hours it was still too hot to use. We were also there on Valentine’s Day, and the room next door was very noisy late at night. The walls seem to offer poor soundproofing, since we could clearly hear them. It made it hard to rest or enjoy our stay. We were extremely disappointed for the price and won’t come back. Not recommended.
