For a solo overnight stay, the location is handy. It’s close to the terminal, taxis, jeepneys to Trancoville, kalenderyas, Pet’s Bulalo, Inihaws, fast food on Upper Session Rd., The Terminal above 7-11, and 7-11 for essentials. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The pods are roomy and comfortable, with enough headroom to sit up, and I found them better than dorm bunks. They provide two soft pillows and a thick blanket. The bathroom needs attention. Water comes from the faucet, but after flushing it won’t fill the toilet tank. The heater works, but the shower gives so little water that it gets too hot, making it hard to bathe properly. I’d seen similar water complaints from months earlier, so I hope management reads these reviews. The two bathroom soap bottles had unreadable labels, and I couldn’t tell which was body wash or shampoo, or whether one was conditioner. I got a bath towel and dental kit at check-in, which was a nice extra for a hostel, but my towel had several holes and ripped spots. The pod lights are dim and good for sleeping, though a white-light option would help when getting ready. Opening the curtains lets in light but takes away some privacy. A changing room might also help, since changing in the small bathroom is difficult with its wet floor. For me it’s about 3.5 stars. I’d probably not book again unless the bathroom is fixed, though I might try their Bonifacio branch.

The pod itself was nice and the aircon was strong, but I had a really frustrating check-in. I arrived for one night hoping to rest before going out, and was told to follow up about the towels. More than 45 minutes later there still weren’t any, so I went back upstairs and asked the front desk twice when they’d arrive. They said 5pm because the towels were at the other branch. For a 3pm check-in, they should have been ready. Nobody asked which room or pod I was in, and I didn’t hear an apology. I understand delays can happen, but the way they spoke made it worse. I didn’t want to make a scene over a towel, but the service was poor. I hadn’t brought one because towels were listed under their “amenities.” Management should train staff for better customer service. The photos are the same as the ones in other reviews.

The only thing I’d change is the shower water pressure. Otherwise, the pods are cozy and private, and it’s easy to get around with bus stations, Session Road, and SM Baguio nearby. I had a great stay and would gladly return. It’s a good hostel for solo travelers.

The staff were kind and accommodating, and dealt with the issue I had, but switching rooms took a lot of time. I’m unsure if I’d book here again. I hope they fix the foul pod smell, the shower and heater, and the security. We weren’t given keys to lock the door, even at night, so it seemed anyone could get into the rooms. I stayed for 1 day, and the pod I was assigned smelled like dead rats. I sprayed alcohol and perfume around to try to reduce it, but it didn’t work. I had to leave for a while because I couldn’t stand the odor; when I came back, it had spread to the clothes and belongings I’d left there. I was moved to another room, where the pod was nice and had no bad smell. The room was small but tidy, though there was no mirror. The shower and heater didn’t work either. I had to wait for a pail to fill before I could shower, which took almost an hour.

It’s beside most bus terminals and SM Baguio, and for a solo trip I’d stay here again. The price is affordable, the place is cozy, and there’s a co-working space and a 24hrs cafe. The heaters work, towels and toothbrushes with toothpaste are provided, and the free WiFi covers the days you stay. The lockers only fit sling bags or other very small bags, aren’t large enough for luggage or a regular travel backpack, and don’t even have locks. There’s also just one comfort room per pod, with the shower and toilet together, so more would be useful.
