Reddoorz Hostel @ Faes Transient House

We had a peaceful stay, with a nice view from the balcony and hallway. The place has a kitchen, living room, refrigerator for storing food and cooking, and two comfort rooms with heaters. It’s quiet and about 10 minutes by motorcycle from tourist spots and parks. The bedroom was small for the price, but it was Christmas and we had no other options, so we stayed. It’s one of three separate bedrooms within a family room.

The staff were kind, the bedroom was okay, and it was easy to find by taxi, but we left disappointed. We booked a deluxe room on agoda and were given a family room with a shared bathroom instead, so we had to share with other tenants. The toilet wouldn’t flush properly, and the shower ran so weakly that we had to wait for a bucket to fill before bathing. We got the wrong room, and the bathroom didn’t work right.

The room costs too much for what you get, especially with other people staying in the same room and everyone sharing the bathroom. The cleaner came in without knocking even while people were inside. The bathroom had no bidet and a broken flush, and there were no toiletries or drinking water. Customer service was poor and rude. I wouldn’t recommend spending your time or money here.

We had booked online early, hoping for an easy stay, but after a 35-minute walk from Burnham because of traffic, we arrived late and were told our room’s bathroom was suddenly under maintenance. They offered an “upgrade” in another building for P500. At 11 PM in freezing Baguio, we couldn’t find another hotel, so we felt we had no choice but to accept. The receptionist, who seemed to be the owner’s son, rudely refused to handle a cancellation or refund and told us to cancel through Agoda. As we walked to the other building, we heard him call ahead in Ilokano, apparently thinking we wouldn’t understand. He said they were actually fully booked and had simply “not noticed.” We felt lied to, scammed for more money, and treated like fools. If being deceived and disrespected sounds fine to you, book here. Otherwise, stay far away.
