The location was handy, with public transport, a laundromat, and a convenience store nearby, and there was parking for guests. We stayed six days and found the rooms spacious and clean for the price. Breakfast was included and served generous portions. The front desk staff were kind enough to upgrade our room for the last few nights, and everyone we met was friendly and accommodating. We did have a few mosquitoes and two cockroaches in the room, though I suppose that's to be expected in the Philippines. We'd happily book here again.

Breakfast was a real highlight. The food was very good, especially the bacon, which impressed me as a Canadian. The coffee was good too when it was available, though they ran out on Day 2. The staff were nice, and our suite had a pleasant design, but there were enough problems that I couldn't rate the stay highly. Our room hadn't been cleaned properly when we arrived: there was hair on the pillows and sheets, and no towels, shampoo, soap, or other hygiene items. Maybe the staff were lazy, or maybe the hotel was short staffed. The shower also left the bathroom floor flooded. Water seemed to be coming from somewhere around the pipe or shower, even though we were careful with the curtain, and we never figured out the source. Hot water was available for an early shower, but seemed to run out after 7:30am. We had booked two rooms for four adults and an 8 year old. Our Agoda booking showed everyone was included and ate for free, but on the second day of our three night stay they said we had to pay for the child. They also tried to charge us more, and taking payment was difficult. They couldn't process credit cards for international travelers, only GCash, cash, or a bank transfer. Our final bill was about P33K, and we had only a third of that with us because I'd never stayed in a hotel this nice that didn't take cards. Even the Carag-Carag hotels take them. The ATMs were empty on Sunday. After leaving some of our party at the hotel for three hours while we went from one ATM to another, we finally arranged a transfer from a relative's account to the CDO bank the hotel uses.

Mosquitoes gather around the restaurant after sundown, so watch out for them. The food is inexpensive and the portions are huge, so you get your money's worth. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and they go out of their way to help. Every interaction felt genuine and personal. The people are the place's biggest asset. It's an inn rather than a hotel, so it doesn't have the same amenities; the room prices seem fair for what you get.

The location is a little removed from the tourist spots, but it works well if you want somewhere to unwind. Breakfast was great, the rooms were spacious, and the bathroom was clean. The heater worked well too. The staff were friendly and very accommodating.

The food really impressed me, with A-grade quality and prices at the lower end. Service was a little slow, but I still left impressed with this quaint spot. Kudos to the chef!
