We were there for the Sardine Run, and the dive itself was well handled. Our divemaster explained the safety steps and dive details carefully, checked on us underwater, and pointed out little creatures. The staff were all very nice and accommodating, and the food was good with generous portions. The rooms are spacious and have hot showers. The resort also has a restaurant, its own dive center, and a car park. Parking can be an issue in Moalboal, so make sure the resort has a spot.

John, the manager, stayed involved with both the diving and the resort, checking in regularly to see that everything was going smoothly. Everyone on staff was warm, welcoming, and helpful. We spent two nights in a bungalow and three in the ocean suite. Both rooms seemed recently renovated, especially the bathrooms, and we were comfortable throughout. We also completed our PADI Open Water certification here. Lyn was a wonderful instructor, patient and clear when explaining the skills. She helped us feel much more confident in the water, gave us time to practice anything we weren't sure about, and was kind and encouraging the whole way through. We feel lucky we got to work with her. Thanks to John and the whole Quo Vadis team, we couldn't have asked for a better experience.

The dive center was excellent, the staff courteous, and everything ran smoothly. Gabi was my instructor, and she made the course clear, light, and fun. My English isn't great, but she was patient and professional, and explained things in a way I could follow. The learning felt enjoyable and stress-free. For diving in Moalboal, I'd highly recommend Quo Vadis and Gabi. Don't think twice!

We took both the open water and advanced open water courses with Gabby, and she was a fantastic instructor. She communicated well, paid close attention to detail, and made us feel safe. Best of all, every dive was fun and exciting. The rest of the crew were great too, and the dive center has a comfortable, welcoming feel. I can't recommend Quo vadis and Gabby enough.

The diving around Moalboal is far better than I expected, beyond the famous sardine runs. On the local dives, the coastal walls were full of healthy coral, with a gentle drift that made things relaxing. Reef fish weren't especially abundant, but the coral more than made up for it, along with all the turtles. I saw one on nearly every dive, including some as big as an adult. Pescador Island was a highlight too. I only got there once because of the weather, and it was cloudy, yet visibility was already fantastic. Soft and hard corals covered the wall down to the seafloor. I can only imagine how beautiful it is in sunshine. It reminded me of Sipadan without the bumpheads or barracuda, but it's much easier to reach and cheaper. And the sardine run is a must. Swimming among hundreds of thousands of fish dancing around me is something I'll never forget. The drop-off is often crowded and visibility there can be poor, but the water clears as you swim south, and the sardines are much more impressive away from the crowd. I couldn't upload my footage, so go see it for yourselves! I stayed four nights at Quo Vadis to dive, and it's one of the nicest dive resorts I've visited. It's right by the ocean, with Pescador Island visible in the distance. It's an older resort, though it seems to have been refurbished in recent years, and the facade looks quite modern. Stone paths from the rooms to the main road give it a proper resort feel. Our guides, Esmail and Jezz, were excellent. They checked that everything was all right and made us feel safe, and they're both great at finding critters for photos. We went out on Bangka boats with platforms. There were water dispensers and cups, and snacks after the first dive of the day. The boat usually returned to the dive center between dives, but we could stay on board if we wanted. Several staff members made the stay especially good: Analou made booking seamless, and Lorelei and Joseph at the front desk helped with my many requests. I also met friendly dive guides Dingo??? and Will. I can't wait to return to Moalboal and dive with Quo Vadis again.
