The Backyard Inn

We spent three nights there in May in a private room for a couple. It was clean, with good AC and Wi-Fi that worked perfectly. The location was handy, just a few minutes' walk from the main area while far enough away from the noise. When we had a problem with the key at check-in, the owner came straight over to help. The staff were kind and efficient with breakfast and extras like laundry and arranging activities. The atmosphere felt pleasant and youthful. I'd really recommend it.

The wood cabin had a real island feel, and the stay was amazing. It was very clean, the AC worked great, and the internet was very good too. Everyone on the staff was nice and helpful. The beach and restaurants are very close. The roosters behind the cabins make a pretty effective alarm clock, though that's nothing the hotel can do about, it's the Philippines.

The atmosphere was cheerful and welcoming, so I’d recommend this place even if you’re travelling alone. Our private double room was clean and cozy, and the WiFi worked really well. It’s close to the main area but tucked away from the noise. The staff were great about helping with laundry, arranging activities, and answering whatever we asked. I’d happily recommend it!

The outdoor workspace was a peaceful place to get things done, with lots of seating, and the WiFi stayed fast and stable around the property. Backyard Inn is also an easy walk from the main beach, handy for exploring or heading out for a turtle or sardines dive and the Moalboal sunset. I was nervous about trying a dorm for the first time, but my five days here turned out to be comfortable and exactly what I hoped for. The room was cozy and clean, with good AC, and there were plenty of bathrooms and showers even with lots of guests. Everything was kept up well, with hot water and all the amenities. The bar food and drinks were good and affordable. BBQ night on Wednesday and Saturday was my favorite. The staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I’ll definitely come back to Backyard Inn.
