I’ve come back, and now this is the only place I stay in Moalboal. It’s very affordable because it’s a little way from the center, but still just a couple of minutes from downtown. The room had air conditioning and a private bathroom.

The family and staff were so friendly and accommodating, which made my stay enjoyable. There’s a bar with beer and other alcohol, plus free coffee throughout the day. You can use the full kitchen with its pots, pans and utensils, or ask them to cook for you. The standard rooms are on the small side, but clean and air-conditioned.

It’s a budget hotel in a handy spot near town, and fine if all you need is a bed. The hot water and the air conditioner or fan worked well. It’s cheap, though they tried to add a tourist tax.

We got our own room for three nights, just the three of us, at the best price we found in the Philippines. The bus stop, motorbike rental and pool were all within walking distance. They treated us like family, handled every request and there was no hassle. We were even invited to Sugars birthday party, with loads of food and drinks put out for everyone in the hostel for free. So good, thank you! Your Canadian friend :-)
